The Marie Claire Prix D Excellence de la Beaute is an international beauty honour awarded to beauty products of the highest standards across the world, with Prix D’Excellence  South Africa running  in conjuction with the international awards. The renowned Westcliffe hotel in Johannesburg came alive with top national and international representatives of the cosmetic industry at an exclusive function held on 7 April 2005. Amongst them representatives from Avroy Shlain Cosmetics who walked away with the prestigious Prix D’Excellence de la Beaute South Africa fot the anti-aging range, CRT.

. The Prix D’Excellence de la Beaute South Africa award is one of the most prestigious awards in the cosmetics industry with a jury consisting of international journalists, and beauty professionals. This year Prix D’Excellence South Africa was represented by a jury of nine beauty experts, among them beauty journalists and respected beauty professionals. Some of the jury included Beauty Editors from Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Oprah magazine, Femina, True Love, Dr Robert Weiss, dermatologist, amongst others. The jury tested a wide range of cosmetic products from various companies. Nominations were made according to the number of votes received.
